Success Story- Sully Heraud

This success story is particularly exciting to register because it started with the network making the introduction, it leveraged the tools and channels that we have for connecting members to a broad network and it has resulted in an exciting and fulfilling career for a member.  Pass this along to anyone thinking of joining and if you would like a profile created for you or another member that might elicit the kinds of interest that Sully’s did then contact Rupert Whiting through the Treble Victor website.

Sully Heraud – Success Story 2023

I left the Royal Canadian Navy in March 2023. In late 2022, as I was planning my exit strategy, an old milcol friend introduced me to this group. He told me how 3V was a way to connect with fellow veterans and create a network outside of the traditional avenues of VAC and my phone's contact list. He told me of the sponsorship and interview process and how it allowed them to create a group of talented individuals who help each other through the transition process and in growing their businesses or careers.

I was obviously curious as to how that worked so I went ahead with the process and soon I was introduced to my chapter lead. I have to admit that I joined mainly out of curiosity and was certainly not expecting such a great return on my small investment in time. On the day that I released 3V posted about my background on LinkedIn and our website. The following weeks were filled with people contacting me and wishing to talk. This resulted in three separate job offers, two of which were overseas. I ended up taking one of them and now work as Naval Advisor for the UAE Armed Forces.

The support from all the 3V members I received was and still is tremendous. From basic advice to social events and even sitting in on job interviews, it was all amazing. I would not be where I am so quickly were it not for Treble Victor and will forever be grateful for it. I recommend 3V to anyone wishing to build and maintain a solid network of supportive, like-minded people from all sectors of industry. I would especially encourage someone to join 3V BEFORE their release date, as it helped ease the stress of the transition in ways that the big VAC machine could never do.
