Who is Mark Walden?
Mark Walden, our co-founder and the first President of The Treble Victor Group courageously fought an aggressive form of cancer in 2016. In spite of a heroic battle, Mark passed away in the morning of Friday 12 August 2016. Mark was an exemplary Army officer, a successful banker and entrepreneur, a trusted advisor and a dear friend to many. For 3V in particular, Mark was the inspiration and driving force behind the formation and growth of our organization.
Many Treble Victor members have expressed an interest in supporting 3V co-founder Mark Walden’s legacy as a community builder, his dedication to fellow military members and his entrepreneurial spirit. 3V in collaboration with Prince’s Operation Entrepreneur has setup a commemorative fund in Mark Walden’s name.
A program of Prince’s Charities Canada, Prince’s Operation Entrepreneur helps transitioning military and veterans who want to become entrepreneurs, offering them one-day workshops, seven-day boot camps and ongoing support to build confidence and launch successful businesses. Since the program’s inception in 2012 POE has provided entrepreneurial training over 2000 military personnel, and more than 250 new businesses have been started by the 370 boot camp alumni. In the coming months, 3V will provide an opportunity for its members to hear more about the impact of the gifts honouring Mark.
